Augmentive
From Google Ads and landing pages to owning the whole growth engine.

augmentive.io, as it looks today.
What I did
Started narrow, then widened
I came in on Google Ads and landing pages. After a couple of months of optimisation I told the founder the account needed a paid specialist rather than more of my time, and brought Ryan Scollon in. That freed me to do the work I am actually best at.
Fifty-plus landing pages against fifty-plus locations
Each PPC campaign got a page built for the intent behind it, covering more than fifty UK locations. The pages were the test surface as much as the destination.
A lifecycle stack for both sides of the market
Marketplaces fail on the thinner side. I built automation for practitioners as well as clients, so supply and demand were being nurtured against the same funnel definitions.
A standing CRO programme
Multiple experiments live every month, measured to significance rather than to the end of the sprint. Cost per lead and cost of acquisition both came down as a result.
Then the sales process, on HubSpot
In the second half I moved onto the part nobody wanted to touch. Working with their sales team, we rebuilt the pipeline in HubSpot — and that turned out to be where the biggest gains of the whole engagement came from.
What came of it
Results.
Figures belong to this engagement and this client. Nothing here is an average or a benchmark, and no number appears without the work behind it described above.
“They set out a clear plan and have executed it very well. They also did a great job of setting up analytics and reporting across our marketing platforms to ensure that we can measure and optimise performance.”
What I took from it
Scaling was not about running more ads. It was about building something that kept working after the ads were turned down — automation, testing and a sales process that did not leak.
